This rare style of [graffiti](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/enigmatic-graffiti) belongs to EVOL, a street artist based in Berlin. He makes these really grey, mundane stencil posters of [big building blocks and housing estates](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-eades) which he then plasters on city objects and walls, thus creating smaller estates within the city.

Some of the pictures are paintings on cardboard which EVOL also places in public places. The series is called “Plattenbauten”. An exhibition showing some of his [bizarre housing block street poster art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-polly) is on at the Wilde-Gallery in Berlin until the end of the month.
