# Fantasy Story Book Depictions Children's Book-Inspired Drawings of the Houses of Game of Thrones By Ian Andrew Panganiban | Published 2013-04-24 | Pop Culture Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/houses-of-game-of-thrones References: [andry-shango.deviantart](http://andry-shango.deviantart.com/gallery/) & [elshangowuzhere.blogspot](http://elshangowuzhere.blogspot.ca/) The warring houses of Game of Thrones will probably never get along with one another after what's transpired throughout the last seasons of the series. Designer Andry Rajoelina created a [children's book-inspired illustration](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/storybooks-illustrator) of the battling animal banners of the factions of the Westeros families. All of the great houses are depicted in the juvenile recreations, from the Direwolf of House Stark, to a dragon -- which should be at three dragons -- from the [House of Targaryen](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/diff-eyewear), all the major players are accounted for. The innocent, playful depictions of the house banners shy away from the bloody and violent nature that's synonymous with the [George RR Martin fantasy series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fantasysagainspired-whisky-bottles). Images of cute and sweet creatures usually invoke happy thoughts, but in this case, there's a darkness surrounding the illustrations. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.7/10 - Popularity: 38% | Activity: 34% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Pop Culture](https://www.trendhunter.com/popculture) > [Internet](https://www.trendhunter.com/internet) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Children's Book-inspired Illustrations:** Opportunity for creating children's book-inspired illustrations of popular TV or movie franchises. - **Fantasy-themed House Banners:** Potential for designing fantasy-themed house banners for different franchises or events. - **Reimagining Violent Imagery:** Opportunity to create innocent and playful versions of traditionally violent imagery for various purposes. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Children's Publishing:** Potential market for children's books featuring illustrations inspired by popular TV shows and movies. - **Event Planning:** Opportunity to create fantasy-themed house banners for themed events and parties. - **Merchandise Design:** Potential for designing merchandise featuring innocent and playful versions of traditionally violent imagery. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Distinctive Dragon-Themed Books](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/distinctive-dragonthemed-books-dragonborn-features-illustrative-end-pages-a.md) - [Fantasy-Series Inspired Eyewear](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/diff-eyewear.md) - [Thematic Dragon-Inspired Timepieces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dragon-inspired-timepieces.md) - [Dragon-Themed Alcohol Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cider-and-wine.md) - [Fantasy Prequel Wines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-of-the-dragon-fire-blood-cabernet-shiraz.md) - [Fantasy Footwear Collaborations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/merrell-2.md) - [Fantasy-Inspired Hiking Shoes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/merrell-house-of-dragon.md) - [Tree-Surrounded Mud-Walled Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/winterfell.md) - [TV Series Hot Sauces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/green-and-black-hot-sauces.md)
