Nissen & Wentzlaff Architekten designed the 'House Thommy,' a single-storey residence located in Bottmingen, Switzerland.

The architect's main objective was to design a home that would not disturb its natural surroundings; they wished to achieve a unity, a harmony, if you will, between architecture and nature, insofar as this can be achieved. The views, of course, are simply spectacular; at one end of the home, a cluster of magnificent pine trees stand, much taller than the building itself. An outdoor pool lies in front of the residence.

The [cool, concrete exterior](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/concrete-house-1) is punctuated with large windows to allow an abundance of natural light into the home. Inside, the home continues its cool, crisp aesthetic with [white walls and minimal furnishings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-in-kyobate), all meant to encourage relaxation, contemplation and introspection.
