# Miniature Security Systems The Sensor-1 House Security is Discrete in Size for Undetected Use By M | Published 2016-02-09 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-security References: [mashable](http://mashable.com/2016/02/08/sensor-1-security/?utm_source=feedly&utm_medium=webfeeds) & [metasensor](https://www.metasensor.com/) The Sensor-1 house security device focuses on providing home owners with a discrete form of intruder protection that is virtually unnoticeable thanks to its conveniently small size. The [motion-detecting pod](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/meross-ms605-presence-sensor) is as small as a quarter and can conveniently be placed anywhere in the home to keep an eye on the space without being in the line of sight of others. Home security products often have a contradictory design with a shape or size that gives away the functional purpose of the device. The Sensor-1 is small in both shape and size making it virtually unnoticeable to those that don't know it's in the space. It is able to track motion in a room as well as provide data and updates straight to a smartphone thanks to a conjoined app. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.2/10 - Popularity: 67% | Activity: 81% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Miniature Security Systems:** There is a growing trend towards the development of small and unobtrusive security systems that provide maximum protection with minimum visibility to reduce the chances of an intruder bypassing or damaging the device. - **Mobile Connectivity for Security Systems:** The trend towards mobile devices as a platform for security systems has resulted in a growing demand for systems that are easily monitored and controlled from smartphones and tablets. - **Discreet Iot-based Home Security Systems:** Smart, IoT-based security systems that seamlessly blend with home decor, are easy to install, and allow remote monitoring and control via mobile devices have become the latest trend in home security. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Home Security Industry:** The emergence of miniature security systems and mobile connectivity has disrupted the home security industry, opening up opportunities for companies to offer advanced security systems in small, discreet packages that are easy to install, monitor, and control remotely. - **Iot Industry:** The increasing demand for home security systems that are easy to integrate with IoT-based platforms and allow remote monitoring and control has driven the growth of the IoT industry, creating opportunities for companies to develop smart sensors and devices that can be easily integrated with home security systems. - **Consumer Electronics Industry:** The trend towards mobile device-based security systems has disrupted the consumer electronics industry, with companies now focusing on developing smart sensors, devices, and apps that can seamlessly integrate with smartphones and tablets to improve user experience and security. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Multifunctional Home Security Sensors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arlo-sensor.md) - [Sound-Monitoring Security Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/earzz-smart-home-monitor.md) - [Wide-Angle Home Security Sensors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/abode-motion-sensor.md) - [Mobile Security System Sensors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portable-security-device.md) - [Decor-Inspired Security Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mini-home-camera.md) - [Smart Home Security Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-home-security-solution.md) - [Adjustable Smart Home Sensors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wifi-motion-sensor.md) - [Novel Home Security Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/home-security-concept.md) - [Multifunctional Smart Home Sensors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/multipurpose-smart-sensor.md)
