Antonio Cardillo's 'House of Dust' is best described by its own name. The 1,076 square foot apartment is quirky especially because of its rustic plaster ceiling that from afar, resembles dust. The home, located in Rome, Italy, is well designed with many wall layers that give it a multidimensional look.

Lighting greatly affects the home. Since the ceiling is so dark, natural light does not as easily reflect on it and light up the room. Owners will have fun choosing colored lights and vibrant furniture to brighten the space.

The rough plastered ceiling gives the room a rugged look that's great for bachelors who like to take design into their own hands. The apartment isn't too big so it's a nice place for couples or small families.
