This building of bones features some of Antonio Gaudi’s finest work, and is known for its elaborate decoration and nature-derived design. It is called The House of Bones because the frame and balconies of the building resemble the bones of animals. If you weren’t a fan of "The Addams Family," then I would advise you to stay away from The House of Bones at night, as it does light up in a creepy way! ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.6/10 - Popularity: 21% | Activity: 19% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/architecture) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Nature-inspired Architecture:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Architects can explore incorporating nature-based designs in their buildings to create visually striking and eco-friendly structures. - **Elaborate Decoration:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Interior designers can embrace intricate and ornate decorations to add unique character and charm to their projects. - **Theme-based Buildings:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Real estate developers can create niche properties inspired by themes, like The House of Bones, to attract a specific target audience. ### Who This Affects Most - **Architecture:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Architects can push the boundaries of traditional building design by creating structures that challenge conventional norms and perceptions. - **Interior Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Interior designers can experiment with unconventional decorative elements and styles to create awe-inspiring spaces that captivate occupants. - **Real Estate:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Real estate developers can market unique and themed properties as an innovative way to attract buyers and differentiate their offerings in a competitive market. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Renovated Spanish Exhibition Spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-batll-contemporary.md) - [Floating Level Aesthetic Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oak-house-1.md) - [Reflective Artful Calming Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-gesso.md) - [Gothic Puzzle Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/addams-family-lego.md) - [Collaborative Artful Historic Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/battl-chair.md) - [Sculptural Canteliver Concrete Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-del-alma.md) - [Burnt Orange Walled Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-magarola.md) - [Spanish Concrete Replica Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/villain-house.md) - [Warm Tonal Textural Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bolvar-house.md)
