The slated ceilings under canopies that allow you to catch some rays, the [luxurious indoor-outdoor pool](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/malvern-pool-house) that goes beneath bridges and the modern, exquisite furniture make this a standout design. The house design was constructed in Limpopo, South Africa. Finished with gorgeous woods and glass, the transparent home functions as a vacation house while giving you the functionality needed for a steady all-year home. Offering incredible views of your own backyard, the [glass walled exterior](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/anchor-house) capitalizes on what you have right outside. With a small bridge that connects the indoors and outdoors, the unbelievable abode is truly an astonishing accomplishment by Nico van der Meulen Architects. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.3/10 - Popularity: 66% | Activity: 56% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Transparent Architecture:** The House Aboobaker showcases the use of glass walled exterior, creating a trend of transparent architecture. - **Indoor-outdoor Integration:** The integration of indoor and outdoor spaces creates a trend of immersive living experiences. - **Luxury Vacation Homes:** The House Aboobaker displays a trend of designing homes that resemble luxurious vacation resorts. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Architecture:** The transparent architecture trend opens up opportunities for architects to create innovative designs that blend interior and exterior spaces. - **Home Furnishings:** The demand for luxury vacation homes presents an opportunity for the home furnishings industry to cater to high-end clientele. - **Tourism and Hospitality:** The trend of designing homes as vacation resorts creates opportunities for the tourism and hospitality industry to offer unique and upscale accommodation options. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Nature-Connecting Vacation Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-by-the-lake.md) - [Bamboo Luxe Pool Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/godai-pavilion.md) - [Elevated Treetop Modern Cabins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/buitenverblijf-nest.md) - [Nature-Inspired Bungalow Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/maurpankhi.md) - [Wooden Screen Stacked Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-vjc-iporanga.md) - [Mid-Century-Themed Vacation Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bohlin-cywinski-jackson.md) - [Pavilion-Style Art Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/galeria-house.md) - [Contemporary Nature-Inspired Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nebo-house.md) - [Miniature Seaside Wooden Cabins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/alexander-mcgee.md)
