# Red Room Resorts Hotel Q! by GRAFT is Both Racy and Futuristic By Meghan Young | Published 2011-02-17 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hotel-q References: [contemporist](http://www.contemporist.com/2011/02/16/hotel-q-by-graft/) & [graftlab](http://www.graftlab.com/) There is something both racy and space-aged about the [Hotel Q](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/htel-chteau-deau)!'s interior design. The sense of raciness must come from the [red colorway](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/red-sol) that is prevalent throughout, and the [futuristic feel](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/romeo-hotel-roma) probably owes itself to the minimalist and abstract details in general. Designed by international architectural firm GRAFT, the design house placed Hotel Q! in Berlin, Germany. I particularly like the walls, which give an exciting feel to the interior space. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.9/10 - Popularity: 58% | Activity: 50% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Futuristic Hospitality:** Opportunity to create futuristic hospitality experiences using minimalist and abstract design details. - **Bold Colorway:** Opportunity to incorporate bold, eye-catching colorways in interior design. - **Exciting Walls:** Opportunity to use unique wall designs to create dynamic interior spaces. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Hospitality:** Incorporating minimalist and abstract design details in hospitality can create unique and futuristic experiences for guests. - **Interior Design:** Bold colorways are becoming popular in interior design and can be used to make a statement in spaces such as hotels. - **Architecture:** Designing unique and dynamic wall structures can create awe-inspiring architectural marvels for structures such as hotels. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Rail Depot Hotels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/noxx-hotel-marburg.md) - [Authentic Hotel Interiors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/berlins-chteau-royal-hotel.md) - [Retro Nightlife-Inspired Hotels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/htel-chteau-deau.md) - [Bespoke Furniture Hotel Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/locke-hotel-2.md) - [Mid-Century Nostalgic Hotel Redesigns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hotel-riomar.md) - [Brutalist Artful Hotel Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hoxton-charlottenburg.md) - [Artful Hotel Renovations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/25hours-hotel-bikini-berlin.md) - [Patterned Hotel Cocktail Lounges](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/quill-room.md) - [Local Craft-Incorporated Hotel Redesigns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/puro-hotel.md)
