Hotel Iso Syote, named for the hill it resides upon, has numerous [log cabins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/studio-bua) that are uniquely plotted among the mesmerizing snow-topped trees that appear to go on forever. Activities abound at the Finnish winter wonderland resort, with dog-sledding, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, ice fishing and of course, Northern Lights star gazing. Since cold air sinks, the hotel's hilly location works in the favor of guests hoping to venture out into the snowy retreat; the temperature is usually 10-15 degrees warmer at the resort than in the valley that surrounds it. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.7/10 - Popularity: 71% | Activity: 32% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [World](https://www.trendhunter.com/world) > [Travel](https://www.trendhunter.com/travel) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Winter Tourism:** Hospitality businesses could capitalize on the increasing demand for winter tourism destinations like Lapland and offer unique winter activities. - **Eco-friendly Lodging:** Innovative lodging businesses can take cue from Iso Syote's green approach by incorporating sustainable practices and materials in the construction and overall operations of their lodging facilities. - **Remote Work Getaways:** As more people work from home, businesses could cater to those who desire remote work getaways and set up workstations within these scenic landscapes. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Hospitality:** The hospitality industry can adopt Iso Syote's best practices in providing a unique winter experience in scenic destinations. - **Sustainability:** Eco-friendly companies could capitalize on the success of Iso Syote's use of sustainable materials and practices in the construction and operation of their bungalows. - **Remote Work:** The remote work industry can consider partnering with hospitality businesses that offer scenic locations for work getaways to attract professionals who are looking for a change of scenery. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Santa Claus-Inspired Hotels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/santa-claus-cabin.md) - [Zenith Retreat Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/not-a-hotel-1.md) - [Architectural Tranquil Cabin Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bolder-londges.md) - [Snow-Themed Winter Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/le-massif-de-charlevoix.md) - [Cliff Edge Wooden Cabins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bolder-star-lodges.md) - [Snow Mountain Minimal Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/snowfall-house.md) - [Intimate High-Altitude Cottages](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/altihut.md) - [Waterside Retreat Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bora-boral.md) - [Snow-Constructed Car Showrooms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/polestar-snow-space.md)
