The Hot Rod Heated Travel Mug is a high-tech thermos mug that has a '50s twist. The look draws inspiration from a standard roadster that even incorporates analog gauges and switches into the design. The mug is thermally insulated, which means that the coffee will stay warm for long periods of time. Should it go cold, use the DC adapter, plug it into the car's cigarette lighter and it'll warm up the drink while maintaining the beverage's optimum temperature. The mug also comes with a LED power indicator and a nonskid rubberized base for support. The Hot Rod Heated Travel Mug will be available in candy apple red, or midnight glossy black. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.0/10 - Popularity: 36% | Activity: 77% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Drinking](https://www.trendhunter.com/drinking) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Retro Design:** Opportunity for companies to incorporate vintage aesthetics into modern products. - **High-tech Thermos:** Potential for creating thermally insulated mugs with advanced features. - **Automotive-inspired Accessories:** Demand for products that cater to car enthusiasts' unique style and interests. ### Who This Affects Most - **Consumer Electronics:** Disruptive innovation opportunities in developing heated travel mugs with retro designs and advanced thermos technology. - **Automotive Accessories:** Opportunity to create car-themed accessories like the Hot Rod Heated Travel Mug that appeal to car enthusiasts. - **Home Decor and Giftware:** Potential for designing retro-themed mugs and thermoses as stylish home decor items or unique gifts. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Temperature-Regulating Coffee Mugs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cauldryn-coffee-pro.md) - [In-Car Cupholder Upgrades](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/coolper.md) - [Heated Espresso-Sized Coffee Cups](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/heated-espresso-cup.md) - [Capacious Heated Coffee Tumblers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ember-tumbler.md) - [Magnetic Battery Heated Mugs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-coffee-mug.md) - [Trackable Heated Travel Mugs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ember-travel-mug2.md) - [Rechargeable In-Car Coffee Makers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portable-coffee-maker-1.md) - [Sensor-Packed Smart Mugs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nextmug.md) - [Coffee-Cooling Travel Mugs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beverage-tumbler.md)
