At Toronto’s [Mount Sinai Hospital](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/premium-craft-beer-india), IKEA transformed suites for high-risk pregnant women into spaces that are furnished with [comfortable home decor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oakv-clinic). Some of the items that IKEA provided includes everything from couches and tables to beds and wall art. In order to adhere to the strict hospital regulations on quality and safety, each suite was designed in collaboration with hospital departments. As a brand that aligns itself with comfortable home life and family, this is a perfect initiative for IKEA to take up. Since Mount Sinai is a regional high-risk hospital, this means that families travel from across the province for a stay. These comfortable suites will make the hospital environment feel like home. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.8/10 - Popularity: 62% | Activity: 75% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Health](https://www.trendhunter.com/health) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Comfortable Hospital Rooms:** Designing hospital rooms with comfortable home decor can improve the patient experience and create a more soothing environment. - **Collaborative Design:** Collaborating with hospital departments to design hospital rooms can ensure that furniture meets strict quality and safety regulations. - **Branded Healthcare Experiences:** Bringing branded elements into healthcare spaces can create a sense of familiarity and comfort for patients and their families. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Furniture:** Furniture companies can explore opportunities to create specialized furniture solutions for hospitals that prioritize comfort and aesthetics. - **Healthcare:** Healthcare providers can collaborate with furniture brands to create more inviting and comfortable hospital environments for patients. - **Interior Design:** Interior design firms can specialize in creating healthcare spaces that combine functionality with a homely, branded aesthetic. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Housing Crisis Presentation Campaigns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/real-life-roomsets.md) - [Design-Conscious Baby Incubators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/concept-incubator.md) - [Purposeful Consumer-Focused Campaigns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ikea-sleepfluencers-campaign.md) - [Therapy-Encouraging Furniture Campaigns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/couch-counseling.md) - [AI Room Designers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ikea-canada-2.md) - [Hygienic Healthcare Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/systm-furniture-collection.md) - [Furniture-Honoring Campaigns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wherever-life-goes.md) - [Diversity-Focused Furniture Campaigns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/making-space1.md) - [Anti-Tipping Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ikea-storklinta.md)
