Installed in Deichtorhallen, the 21st century [historical structure](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hangzhou-empathy-museum) that once housed a bustling market, the [art installation](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/highwood-installation) invites people to traverse its murky mirroring surface barefoot. Each reaction is different. From pensive to playful, people experience a personal connection to the installation. Created by United Kingdom-based artist Antony Gormley, who is known for [his](http://www.trendhunter.com/trends/antony-gormley-bodies-in-space) exploration of the human body through sculpture, Horizon Field Hamburg can be regarded as existential. Gormley says, "This entire project could be seen as the translation of a vast painting into a literal sounding board for the spirit and consciousness of the viewer. There is no subject to this work other than the people who participate in and on it." ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.9/10 - Popularity: 96% | Activity: 72% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Unique](https://www.trendhunter.com/unique) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Suspended Reflective Platforms:** Opportunity to create immersive and interactive art installations that turn spectators into works of art. - **Personal Connection to Installations:** Opportunity to design installations that evoke different emotional reactions and create a personal connection with viewers. - **Exploration of the Human Body Through Sculpture:** Opportunity to use sculpture as a medium to explore existential themes and translate them into tangible experiences. ### Where This Applies - **Art and Design:** Opportunity for artists and designers to push the boundaries of traditional art forms and create immersive, interactive experiences. - **Experiential Marketing:** Opportunity for brands to create unique and memorable experiences for consumers by incorporating suspended reflective platforms in their marketing campaigns. - **Wellness and Mindfulness:** Opportunity to use suspended reflective platforms as a tool for mindfulness and self-reflection, promoting mental well-being and personal growth. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Desert Reflective Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shadow-travelling.md) - [Wonderous Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/your-psychoacoustic-light-ensemble.md) - [Optical Illusion Replica Artworks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/liberty-science-center.md) - [Gas Rig Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/striking-art-installation.md) - [UK-Based Modern Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/relics-in-the-landscape.md) - [Future-Facing Sculptural Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eye-of-the-future.md) - [Unique Interactive Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-aurora.md) - [Reflective Material Exhibits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mirroring-dialogue.md) - [Mirrored Sculpture Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sabine-marcelis-1.md)
