The 8.53 ft, 1.8 ton home was flown to its building site via helicopter and despite its fast building time, features [solar-power technology](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/e55000), LED lighting, Air Conditioning and all of the other amenities. The [mini abode](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mark-vi) is equipped with an adjustable double bed, a living space that somehow, despite its small size, can accommodate up to eight quests, full bathroom amenities and a kitchenette. The designer has been creating these homes for several years, but a recent update to the design has increased durability and drastically reduced construction time. The light-weight aluminum frame makes the home easy to erect while its solar technology boasts an impressively low energy output of only 4-5 kWh a day. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.8/10 - Popularity: 42% | Activity: 4% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Quick Construction Homes:** The Horden Cherry Lee Micro-Compact Home showcases the trend of rapidly assembled micro abodes, presenting opportunities for efficient and speedy construction in the housing industry. - **Sustainable Small Living:** With solar-power technology and low energy output, the micro abode highlights the trend of eco-friendly and sustainable living, opening up possibilities for green innovations in the housing sector. - **Compact Space Optimization:** The design of the Horden Cherry Lee Micro-Compact Home demonstrates the trend of maximizing space utilization in compact living environments, stimulating creative solutions for small-space design and organization. ### Who This Affects Most - **Construction Industry:** The quick construction of micro abodes presents disruptive innovation opportunities for the construction industry to streamline building processes and meet the increasing demand for affordable and efficient housing. - **Renewable Energy Industry:** The integration of solar-power technology in micro abodes creates opportunities for the renewable energy industry to develop and implement sustainable energy solutions for housing. - **Interior Design Industry:** The small living spaces in micro abodes offer the interior design industry a chance to devise innovative solutions for optimizing limited space and creating multifunctional furniture and storage systems. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Reinvented Compact Living](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/affordable-housing-prototype.md) - [Ultra-Efficient Tiny Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hirondelle-tiny-house.md) - [Low Footprint Compact Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nano-micro-house.md) - [Built-In Furniture Tiny Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nestron-legend-two.md) - [Compact Sustainable Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-cabana.md) - [Compact Modular Forest Cabins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/digital-house.md) - [Space-Saving Tiny Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/levi-kelly.md) - [Space-Conscious Compact Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minuet.md) - [Compact Humble Economical Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chipper-tiny-home.md)
