# Hanging Hoop Chairs Lee Broom Designs a Sculptural Seat Out of Steel Circular Elements By Meghan Young | Published 2015-06-09 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hoop-chair References: [deconiche](http://www.deconiche.com/hoop-chair-by-lee-broom/) & [leebroom](http://www.leebroom.com/) The Hoop Chair would make a [sculptural addition](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/palla) to any home. Although available in two different iterations, the version hanging from the ceiling makes a particularly huge impact. As though inspired by a gymnast or circus act, the Hoop Chair is made up of two [circular metal rods](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wire-chair-concept) that could easily be performed on in the home. That is, if a person so chooses to. Designed by Lee Broom, the Hoop Chair is not made for the average home. A modern throne of sorts, it would fit perfectly into a modern home with an artistic twist. Finished with [Kvadrat](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blu-dot-furniture-boat) wool upholstery, the Hoop Chair is available in two finishes: black or gold -- both with red cushioning. The standard grounded seat is much more tame, if still in a sculptural vein. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.6/10 - Popularity: 74% | Activity: 57% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Sculptural Seating:** The design of hanging hoop chairs as a sculptural addition to homes presents opportunities for creating unique and artistic seating options. - **Innovative Home Furniture:** The use of circular metal rods in the design of hoop chairs offers disruptive innovation opportunities in the home furniture industry. - **Aesthetic Home Decor:** The incorporation of hoop chairs with artistic twists in modern homes opens up possibilities for disruptive innovation in the home decor sector. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Furniture Manufacturing:** The production of hoop chairs with unique designs and materials can lead to disruptive innovation in the furniture manufacturing industry. - **Interior Design:** The incorporation of hanging hoop chairs in interior design creates opportunities for disruptive innovation in creating visually appealing spaces. - **Home Furnishings:** The introduction of hoop chairs as aesthetic home decor items presents opportunities for disruptive innovation in the home furnishings industry. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Peaceful Geometric Hanging Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/iko-hanging-chair.md) - [Tubular Organic-Formed Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/loopy-chair.md) - [Modern Seating Centerpieces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/orbit-chair.md) - [Arched Circular Seating Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eclipse-chair.md) - [Chaotically Natural Seating Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kkochgalam-chair.md) - [Stainless Steel Reflective Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dream-view-chair.md) - [Circular Lounge Seats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chunk-doughnut-chair.md) - [Otherworldly-Inspired Dynamic Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cosmos-chair.md) - [Structurally Complex Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-arch-chair.md)
