The smartphone is imagined with a folding construction that would measure in at just 9mm in thickness when closed and would utilize always-on displays (AODs) on the exterior. These displays would provide the user with a way to transform the exterior of the smartphone into a purse with different material images like feathers, tassels or chains. The smartphone would also be compatible with a range of straps and chains for carrying. The Honor V Purse is imagined with vegan leather and additional sustainable materials to give it an eco-friendly edge alongside its stylish design. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.7/10 - Popularity: 90% | Activity: 93% | Freshness: 17% - Audience gender: 10% men, 90% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Mobile](https://www.trendhunter.com/mobile) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Foldable Smartphone Concept:** The folding construction of the smartphone allows for easy portability and compactness, offering a disruptive innovation opportunity in the mobile device industry. - **Always-on Display Technology:** The use of always-on displays on the exterior of the smartphone opens up new possibilities for customizability, creating a disruptive innovation opportunity in the display technology sector. - **Eco-friendly Smartphone Design:** The use of vegan leather and sustainable materials in the Honor V Purse showcases a disruptive innovation opportunity in the smartphone manufacturing industry. ### Who This Affects Most - **Mobile Device Industry:** The concept of foldable smartphones offers a disruptive innovation opportunity in the mobile device industry. - **Display Technology Sector:** The integration of always-on displays creates a disruptive innovation opportunity in the display technology sector. - **Smartphone Manufacturing Industry:** The incorporation of eco-friendly materials in smartphone design presents a disruptive innovation opportunity in the smartphone manufacturing industry. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Revolutionary Clamshell Smartphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/huawei-pura-x.md) - [Folding Fashion-Forward Smartphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/honor-magic-v3.md) - [Featherlight Folding Titanium Smartphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/honor-magic-v2.md) - [Accessible Clamshell Smartphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/huawei-pocket-s.md) - [Ultra-Slim Folding Smartphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/honor-magic-vs2.md) - [Ultra-Slim Folding Smartphone Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/iphone-air-concept.md) - [Triple-Folding Smartphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zero-series-mini-trifold.md) - [Next-Generation Folding Smartphone Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/apple-iphone-fold-concept.md) - [Outfit-Matching OLED Handbags](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/peuty-infinity-bag.md)
