Designed by Ian Giles Mason, **Six** is a series of [architectural honeycomb-based seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jean-nouvel-11).

Our friends at [Yanko Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/expand-furniture) note that the chair, "pays homage to the striking aesthetic born from the functional design of industrial structures (think Eiffel tower) and light and space.”

By 'honeycomb', I do not mean just honeycomb design, it is actually made using a very special real honeycomb composite. Oh, and if that is not cool enough, it features a *detachable* light that illuminates the honeycomb seat. Super funky!

Coming in standard or metallic tints for the panels, the design features a wide array of color options for the frame.

Six is designed by [Loughborough University](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/coinvenience-ticket-machine) industrial design and technology graduate Ian Mason, and was exhibited at the degree show Ideation, Loughborough University, from 13-16 June.
