The bakery exists within a shell of the timber-walled residence, which also features parquet flooring, exposed beams and a pitched tiled roof. The architects were interested in maintaining the domesticity of the space, which is why they refrained from stripping the facade and erecting a storefront in its place. To maintain the appearance of a domicile, the architects instead opted for a long, narrow window. The Boulanger Kaiti, as the bakery is named, features an elliptical counter in the center of the space, upon which bread and other baked goods are displayed.
