It looks like a vehicle out of a fantasy or science fiction movie which is visually created by using the genre of steampunk for its inspiration. To say that this barbecue is big would be an understatement; the beast is a whopping four tons! Ryazan can fit right into the cab part of it. The locomotive even has functional parts to it. For instance, the [steering wheel turns the spit](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vertical-offset-charcoal-smoker) of the barbecue. The project is quite a feat considering it is a homemade barbecue. It possesses extremely intricate and original detailing. It is truly a work of art and the fact that it is functional is just a bonus. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.6/10 - Popularity: 64% | Activity: 65% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Autos](https://www.trendhunter.com/autos) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Steampunk-inspired Outdoor Cooking:** A new trend in outdoor cooking inspired by the steampunk style to create unique and visually stunning grills. - **Homemade Functional Art:** The trend of creating homemade functional art pieces, like this locomotive grill, that are both beautiful and useful. - **Giant Barbecue Creations:** A trend in creating large-scale or oversized barbecues that serve as statement pieces for outdoor gatherings. ### Who This Affects Most - **Outdoor Cooking Equipment Industry:** This industry can explore incorporating the steampunk style into their grill designs and creating unique and visually appealing outdoor cooking equipment. - **Artisanal Metalworking Industry:** This industry can create custom pieces for customers looking for unique, functional art pieces such as the steampunk-inspired locomotive grill. - **Event Planning and Catering Industry:** This industry can incorporate novelty oversized barbecues like the Ryazan Deulino's locomotive grill as a statement piece for outdoor events, weddings, and corporate gatherings. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Suitcase-Style Outdoor Grills](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/b2q-kit.md) - [Portable Suitcase-Style Barbecues](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/yuanye-folding-barbecue.md) - [Cooking-Friendly Outdoor Fireplaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/regg-surprise.md) - [AI-Powered Backyard Grills](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/seer-perfecta-grill.md) - [Steampunk Aesthetic Espresso Makers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/steampunk-espresso-machine.md) - [Mini Modular Outdoor Grills](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-griller.md) - [High-End Flattop Barbecues](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/traeger-flatrock-grill.md) - [Stainless Steel Modular Stoves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-stainlesssteel.md) - [Smartphone-Connected Outdoor Grills](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wood-pellet-barbecue-grill.md)
