The fourth season of Homeland is being marketed in very bone-shocking way. Hitting the silver screen on October 4th, 2014, Showtime Networks launched a mobile trailer for the political thriller that simulates the [tactile effects](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/scratchandsniff-ooh-campaign) of bomb explosions.

Psfk writes, "Homeland’s sensory trailer is the first commercial mobile ad campaign to incorporate [haptic technology](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hapticlabs), which pairs touch sensations (vibrations, rumbling, resistance) with gadgets and virtual reality systems." An intense experience considering that it all takes place in the palm of people's hands, fans will be expecting big things from Homeland this year. The Homeland bomb-simulating phone ad was created by [Immersion Corporation](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/immersion-neuroscience), a San Jose-based company specializing in tactile technology, using the company's newest software, TouchSense Engage.
