London-based Delvendahl Martin Architects created this lovely home extension that combines two semi-detached houses into one beautiful family residence.

Located in the center of the city of Oxford, England, this open concept home originally consisted of two separate [Victorian houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lee-terrace). The architects proceeded to combine the buildings with a [two-storey brick and glass home extension](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/catalog-house) featuring two staircases located in the middle of the plan. The two staircases are also unique with one constructed from reclaimed brick and the other built with [dark stained timber](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/thornbury-house).

The newly formed 3,767 square foot structure has an open living space plan with contemporary decorative touches throughout including custom-made furniture and wooden timber handrails. The end result is a contemporary family home that still retains its charming Victorian period aesthetic.
