First of all, it actually glows. The [glass surface](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soda-iced-table) boasts an integrated patent pending lighting system that gives it its futuristic edge. Doubling as an [ambient lamp](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/horizon-table-light), it is something that could be featured in the latest 'TRON' movie. It is conveniently controlled by a touch dimmer. Designed by Michael Neubauer, the Holy Tristan Side Table is supported on a tripod of concrete legs, hence its [industrial flavor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/intra-side-table). It is available with different patterns and colored cords. There is also a plain version that has been simply dubbed Tristan. Presented at Salone this past April, the Holy Tristan Side Table is a novel creation that many will find intriguing. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.5/10 - Popularity: 63% | Activity: 63% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Illuminated Glass Furniture:** The integration of lighting systems in glass furniture creates futuristic designs with practical functionality - **Industrial Futuristic Design:** Fusing industrial and futuristic design elements creates unique and visually striking furniture pieces - **Ambient Lighting:** The use of ambient lighting in furniture design provides multi-functional elements and enhances the atmosphere in a space ### Who This Affects Most - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Companies in the furniture manufacturing industry can incorporate innovative lighting systems and unique design elements to create high-end products with practical applications - **Interior Design:** Interior design professionals can utilize illuminated glass furniture to create visually striking and sophisticated spaces with practical and functional features - **Film Production:** The fusion of industrial and futuristic design in illuminated glass furniture has potential applicability in film production for creating visually engaging set pieces ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Acrylic Multicolor Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lucid-side-tables.md) - [Luxurious Futuristic Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/futuristic-table-lamp.md) - [Shimmering Oceanic Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/liquid-table.md) - [Cloudy Sunbeam Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sunbeam-side-table.md) - [Illusory Cracked Base Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/conceptual-side-table.md) - [Impactful Industrial Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/to-steel-side-table.md) - [Intersecting Two-Part Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shaolin-side-table.md) - [Crystalline Acrylic Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/draga-aurel-flare-collection.md) - [Light-Refracting Glass Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/look-mum-no-uv.md)
