The new system will be used to develop, integrate, and test "[digital twin](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/realitymaps)" ships, altering how Seaspan and the Canadian marine industry build and maintain their vessels. Using Holoship, designers and engineers will be able to virtually experience [lifelike 3D digital models](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ai-visual-configurator) of Seaspan's ships, which will be projected on a large 5.6-meter-wide wall. Users will wear [VR headsets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/teleport-by-varjo) that will enable them to virtually move through the digital ship; they will even be able to interact with the ship's various physical components, equipment, and systems. As a result, designers and engineers will be able to assess the quality of the ship and play out different scenarios in its lifecycle.
