The festive sweater comes is very Christmas appropriate, as it comes in red or green and features a giant Christmas tree on the front. While the tree already makes this sweater festive enough, the designer went an extra step further and included [blinking, colorful lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/all-lit-up) as the ornaments adorning the tree. People attending the party will definitely be drawn to you as the light-up feature will distract them from everything else going on in the room! This holiday light-up sweater will show the host you take their ugly sweater parties seriously, and chances are you'll always be invited to future events. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.3/10 - Popularity: 90% | Activity: 90% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Fashion](https://www.trendhunter.com/fashion) > [Hip Fashion](https://www.trendhunter.com/hipfashion) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Light-up Holiday Clothing:** Opportunity to create light-up clothing for other holidays such as Halloween or New Year's Eve - **Personalized Holiday Sweaters:** Opportunity to create personalized holiday sweaters with light-up features for individuals or groups - **Sustainable Light-up Clothing:** Opportunity to create light-up clothing with eco-friendly materials and energy sources ### Where This Applies - **Fashion:** Opportunity to integrate light-up features into other clothing items or accessories - **Party Supplies:** Opportunity to create light-up decorations, tableware, or party favors for holiday parties - **Event Planning:** Opportunity to offer light-up clothing rental options for themed parties or events ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Wine-Themed Holiday Sweaters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/matching-holiday-sweater.md) - [Festive Sweater Vests](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fandomspecific-sweater-vests.md) - [Christmas-Themed USB Keys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/psb-xmas-tree.md) - [Sparkling Illuminated Festive Wreaths](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/starry-wreath.md) - [Understated Festive Knitwear](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/christina-fair-isle-cardigan.md) - [Interactive Holiday Sweaters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pillsbury-holiday-sweater.md) - [LED-Infused Festival Fashion](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tinsel-arcade.md) - [Retro Tech Sweaters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/microsoft-holiday-sweater.md) - [Festive Convertible Sweaters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zip-off-holiday-sweater.md)
