One such structure is situated in front of the famous Flatiron Building in New York City. The space between Broadway, Fifth Avenue, and 23rd Street is always occupied by some artistic endeavor. For the holiday installation, there was a competition and the winning design was by local architectural studio Hou de Sousa. The holiday installation is formed to present "gateways, apertures, and seating." It is constructed with rebar and covered in bright, shimmering lights that surely add a festive spin to it.
