The holiday home interior of this property, located in Upstate New York, is enlivened by the stylistic sensibilities of local interior designer Magdalena Keck. She was focusing on creating "a 'harmony' between [Japanese minimalism, mid-century design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/duane-house), and American crafts," while also infusing the space with distinct notes of Danish aesthetics.

Drawing inspiration from the natural materials that play a big role in Japanese design, Magdalena Keck seeks to create a connection between natural and built environments. The designer collaborated with local furniture makers on the holiday home interior project, including Chadhaus, Michael Robins, Allied Maker, Samuel Moyer, Julianne Ahnand, WS Woodworking who delivered a potent American influence. In addition, Magdalena Keck also included bold Danish mid-century designs like a black leather Hans [Wegner](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rib-collection) CH163 sofa, Wegner CH53 stools, Finn Juhl dining table and chairs among others.
