It is located in [Los Angeles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cm-g1) and the team helps the homeowners unlock the large potential of self-expression. This is explored through interior finishes and furniture selections. The 90s postmodern house goes through a [big renovation](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-de-praia) including the exterior. This is mainly grey and white with black slate tiles at the stairs for some tonal contrast. The front door has an accent tone with a periwinkle blue finish. When entering the home, it is defined by blue-stained hardwood flooring, which actually defines the tone for the rest of the house. Ring explains, “Working with color is so intuitive – sometimes I walk into a room and immediately sense what color I think it should be. I’m really a fan of cooler shades, so developing the living and dining room palettes of greens, blues, and purples was such a joy for me. Form and color have to work hand in hand so that spaces feel balanced. The living room features a lot of curved forms, which gives the room a sort of airy, ethereal feeling which is what we were going for.“ Image Credit: Another Human ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.3/10 - Popularity: 35% | Activity: 11% | Freshness: 22% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Vibrant Interior Design:** Explore the potential for self-expression through a mix of colors and unique finishes in home interiors. - **90s Revival in Architecture:** Reimagine traditional architecture with a postmodern twist, incorporating colorful accents and unconventional design elements. - **Color Psychology in Home Decor:** Utilize cooler shades like greens, blues, and purples to create balanced spaces that evoke a sense of joy and ethereal ambiance. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Interior Design:** Embrace the trend of vibrant interior design to offer clients personalized spaces that reflect their unique self-expression. - **Architecture:** Incorporate elements of 90s postmodern design into architectural projects to create visually striking buildings that stand out from traditional designs. - **Home Furnishings:** Leverage color psychology insights to curate home decor collections that feature cooler shades and evoke a harmonious and ethereal atmosphere in living spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Modern Vibrantly Designed Craftman](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/craftsman-house.md) - [Warm Colorful Property Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/leah-ring.md) - [Geometric Colorful Residential Spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/graphic-house.md) - [Whimsical Family Home Renovations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/2lg-studio.md) - [50s-Inspired Renovated Basements](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gundry-ducker1.md) - [Lively Transformed Vibrant Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-buondelmonti.md) - [Luxuriously Artistic Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/child-studio1.md) - [Moroccan-Inspired London Townhouse](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pl-studio.md) - [Textured Mid-Century Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/highland-park-residence.md)
