# Hitler Rug By TechnoGadget | Published 2007-02-22 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hitler-rug References: [random-good-stuff](http://www.random-good-stuff.com/) & [spiegel.de](http://www.spiegel.de/kultur/gesellschaft/0,1518,467518,00.html) This Hitler rug looks creepy, don't you think? It looks like a strip skin of Hitler. It will definitely scare all of your guests. This weird art object is created by Israeli artist Boaz Arad. He irritates the visitors of its exhibition “VoozVooz” with this work in the Centre for Contemporary kind in Tel Aviv. **Implications** - It really isn't hard to see why people might be irritated by in-your-face art like this; but then again, that is entirely the point. Like it or not, Boaz Arad's art challenges viewers to confront their own feelings in a decidedly direct way. In the end, that is pretty much what all art is about. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.4/10 - Popularity: 15% | Activity: 48% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Creepy Art:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Exploring unconventional and controversial art forms to evoke strong emotions and challenge societal norms. - **Provocative Exhibitions:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Creating immersive and thought-provoking exhibition experiences that compel viewers to confront their own emotions and beliefs. - **Contemporary Art Pranks:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Pushing boundaries with unexpected and unsettling art installations to spark dialogue and provoke thought. ### Who This Affects Most - **Art Galleries:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Curating provocative and controversial artworks to attract a wider audience and encourage discourse. - **Museums:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Incorporating unconventional and provocative exhibitions to engage and challenge visitors in new ways. - **Public Art Installations:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Commissioning controversial and unexpected artworks in public spaces to stimulate conversation and redefine artistic boundaries. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Oil Painting-Inspired Rugs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/antonio-santn.md) - [Customized Film-Inspired Rugs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rugriders.md) - [Eye-Catching Designer Rugs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/designer-rug.md) - [Artful Washable Rugs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ruggable-x-keith-haring.md) - [Artistic Gen Alpha Rugs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moooi-carpets.md) - [Young-Artist Graphic Rug Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lineslineslines.md) - [Abstract Face Artful Rugs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/talk-talk.md) - [Modern Design-Exploring Art Objects](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pratone-chair.md) - [Artist-Designed Wool Blankets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eike-konig.md)
