When drawing lines is the only thing your utensil can do properly, there is a flaw in the design. These crayons have a fun shape, and multiple sides that allow for many different techniques. These hippos are flat on the bottom. This allows you to pair it with another crayon, and then you can have [multi-color work](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/creative-acts-of-color). Also, since they are designed in the shape of an animal, there are many different degrees of depth. This makes sure you can draw fat or thin lines, or you can use the flat side to shade. Also, a portion of sales will go towards charities that deal with [environment conservation](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/endangered-animal-lip-balm). Your kids will love these hippo crayons, and the different textures will allow them to explore their creativity. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.3/10 - Popularity: 46% | Activity: 44% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Life-Stages](https://www.trendhunter.com/life-stages) > [Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/toys) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Versatile Crayon Shapes:** The use of fun and versatile shapes in crayons opens up opportunities for different drawing techniques and creative exploration. - **Multi-color Drawing:** Crayons with flat bottoms enable users to pair them with other colors, encouraging multi-color artwork and experimentation. - **Charitable Contributions:** The integration of charitable contributions in crayon sales offers a partnership opportunity for brands and organizations focused on environmental conservation. ### Where This Applies - **Education:** The education industry can incorporate versatile crayon shapes into teaching materials to enhance creativity and engagement in children. - **Arts and Crafts:** The arts and crafts industry can tap into the trend of multi-color drawing by promoting crayons with flat bottoms as a tool for unique and vibrant artwork. - **Non-profit / Conservation:** Non-profit organizations in the conservation field can collaborate with crayon brands to leverage the charitable contributions and promote environmental awareness. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Multipurpose Beauty Crayons](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/artist-color-crayon.md) - [Bean-Shaped Vibrant Chalks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bean-chalk.md) - [Wood-Crafted Eco-Friendly Crayons](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/forest-crayon.md) - [Crayon-Style Lip Products](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lip-sketch-hydrating-crayon.md) - [Customizable Color-In Sleepwear](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crayola-x-hanna-andersson.md) - [Pattern-Drawing Dual-Tip Pens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/colored-curve-pens.md) - [Colorful Tech Stylus Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/apple-crayon-pro.md) - [Crayon-Themed Water Bottles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crayola-x-swell.md) - [Playful Crayon USB Drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sandisk-crayola-usbc.md)
