While we’re used to dishwashers looking a certain way, you don’t have to settle for mainstream. Since we generally see the same dishwasher designs over and over again, just with different labels, we don’t really think about the fact that they *can* look much different, but the gallery above proves that theory wrong. Seen in the gallery above are hip dishwashers like the [baby pink Smeg](http://www.savvy-chick.net/love/pink-smeg-dishwasher/) dishwasher (also seen in baby blue in image 4 and red in 5), [Modular Dishwasher](http://www.yankodesign.com/2007/07/06/modular-dishwasher-by-anna-lopez/) by Anna Lopez, the [Maytag drawer dishwasher](http://www.maytag.com/catalog/product.jsp?src=Dishwashers&cat=3&prod=1779) (great for small space living), the [Teeny-Tiny Dishwasher](http://www.yankodesign.com/2009/03/09/teeny-tiny-dishwasher/) by Ibsen Caldas & CWB Staff, the [Bubble Dishwasher](http://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bubble-dishwasher-design-concept-for-the-dirty-dishes), [flux dishwashing](http://www.designboom.com/contest/view.php?contest_pk=3&item_pk=1196&p=2) for the new generation by Jakob Bignert, [redesigned dishwasher](http://www.designboom.com/contest/view.php?contest_pk=3&item_pk=1229&p=3) by Fei Ma and the [beat-33](http://www.designboom.com/contest/view.php?contest_pk=9&item_pk=5701&p=2) ultrasonic piezoelectrical dishwasher by Cristiano Giuggioli. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.0/10 - Popularity: 66% | Activity: 46% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Alternative Dishwasher Designs:** Opportunity to create unique and visually appealing dishwasher designs that deviate from traditional models. - **Modular Dishwashers:** Potential to develop dishwasher designs that offer flexibility and modular options to accommodate small living spaces. - **Ultrasonic Dishwashers:** Disruptive innovation opportunity to create ultrasonic piezoelectrical dishwashers that utilize advanced technology for more efficient and thorough cleaning. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Home Appliance:** Dishwasher manufacturers can explore new designs and features to cater to consumer demands for more aesthetically pleasing and customizable dishwashers. - **Interior Design:** Opportunity for interior designers to incorporate alternative dishwasher designs as part of kitchen aesthetics and overall home decor. - **Technology:** Potential for technological advancements in dishwasher technology, such as ultrasonic cleaning, to improve efficiency and convenience for consumers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sleek Large-Capacity Dishwashers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/haier-1.md) - [Delicate Stemware Dishwashers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smeg-dishwashers.md) - [Compact Countertop Dishwashers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portable-countertop-dishwasher.md) - [Hyper-Fast Countertop Dishwashers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/capsule-solo.md) - [Small Space Dishwashers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portable-dishwasher.md) - [Powerful Small-Space Dishwashers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lissome-r1.md) - [Stealthy Miniature Dishwashers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mycup.md) - [Ergonomic Kitchen Dishwashers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fotile-x20-max.md) - [Affordable Portable Dishwashers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shabosh.md)
