The self isolation and social distancing regulations that have been implemented by governments around the world has altered the dating lives of consumers, leaving some to rely heavily on apps -- Hinge's Date From Home video call feature was released in response to this, making it easier to make deeper connections while staying healthy.

The feature lets users select whether or not they'd like to let others know they;re interested in a video call. If both users are interested, the app will direct them to a separate page where they can enjoy their online date. This updated was implemented to help facilitate deeper connections in the online world, and serves as one of the many ways the COVID-19 pandemic is changing online dating.
