# Double Duty Tumblers The Highwave Beer/Shot Glass Has a Dual Purpose for Drinkers By Erin Kirkpatrick | Published 2012-07-23 | Unique Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/highwave-beer-shot-glass References: [highwave.bigcartel](http://highwave.bigcartel.com/product/beer-shot-light-set-of-2) & [gearhungry](http://www.gearhungry.com/2012/07/beershot-glass.html) Although it is a commonly accepted fact that co-mingling beer and liquor during a night of drinking will make you sick, the Highwave Beer/Shot Glass throws that cautionary tale to the wind. This party-inspired invention is sure to be well received by individuals who have an affection for drinking beer and doing shots; and with this tumbler the two are no longer mutually exclusive. First and foremost, the Highwave Beer/Shot Glass has the capacity to hold 16 ounces of your favorite brewski, while also acting as a shot glass. Simply flip over the tumbler and a standard-sized shot glass has been carved into its base. Made from mouth blown borosilicate glass, these stackable and dishwasher-safe goblets are a great addition to a shenanigan-infused soiree. For the more classy individuals, this glass can also serve as a tea-light candle holder for nighttime get-togethers and backyard BBQs. Now, individuals can take their shots and chase them with beer -- an action that is sure to lead to an epic night of recklessness. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.8/10 - Popularity: 30% | Activity: 45% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 90% men, 10% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Unique](https://www.trendhunter.com/unique) > [Inventions](https://www.trendhunter.com/inventions) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Dual-purpose Drinkware:** Innovative drinkware designs that serve multiple functions, such as combining a beer glass and shot glass in one. - **Party-inspired Inventions:** Developing products that enhance the party experience, like the Highwave Beer/Shot Glass that adds excitement to drinking games and gatherings. - **Unconventional Drinking Rituals:** Creating new drinking rituals or traditions that challenge traditional norms, such as combining shots and beer in a single glass. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Drinkware Manufacturing:** Opportunity for manufacturers to design and produce innovative drinkware that caters to consumers looking for convenient multi-purpose options like the Highwave Beer/Shot Glass. - **Home Entertainment:** Opportunity for companies in the home entertainment industry to promote and market products that enhance social gatherings and facilitate fun drinking experiences. - **Nightlife and Bar Industry:** Opportunity for bars and nightclubs to incorporate the Highwave Beer/Shot Glass into their drink menus and promotions, offering customers a unique drinking experience. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Festive Titanium Shot Glasses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/idea-sekikawa-design.md) - [Self-Measuring Cocktail Glasses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/elevated-craft-hybrid-cocktail-glass.md) - [Travel-Ready Cocktail Cups](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/high-camp-tumbler-set.md) - [Tequila Shot Glass Boards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tequila-shot-glass-board.md) - [Stackable Chalice Glasses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cali.md) - [Libation-Cooling Glasses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/diamas.md) - [Deceptive Stout Glasses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/schneaky-espresso-martini.md) - [Five-Sided Unique Whiskey Glasses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/unique-whiskey-glass.md) - [Captivating Tonal Drinking Glassware](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/podio-cup.md)
