This high tech pen is designed to make the experience at the [Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/slow-low1) more [interactive](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/superpower-studios). Based in New York, the design museum will lend a Pen to every person visiting, allowing them to 'collect' objects and explore the museum's collection digitally.

Launching this year, the Pen collaborated with [Bloomberg](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mused) Connects to create the engaging elements during a three year long renovation. Housed in New York City's Carnegie Mansion, the 210,000 item collection can be browsed with the portable high-tech pen. The device can be touched to the label of any object, where NFC technology stores data. Seven different Collection Browser screens can transfer the information, which creates a personalized selection of pieces to learn about.
