This system works by connecting JBL's proprietary Ambient Aware system with the HTC Vive activity perimeter, which makes it possible for the headphones to automatically go about reducing the audio and turn on the headphone's microphones so that you can listen to what's going on in your surrounding environment. While there are lots of high-tech headphones out there, many people are concerned that these technologies make people too immersed in their own world, but the JBL Everest Elite's compatibility with the HTC Vive ensures that people can easily snap in and out of their surrounding environment. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.8/10 - Popularity: 31% | Activity: 46% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Virtual Reality Immersion:** JBL's headphones' compatibility with VR headsets provides a complete immersive experience and presents an opportunity for companies to innovate on the VR technology front. - **Ambience Mixing:** JBL's headphones' integration of proprietary ambient aware system creates an opportunity for companies to innovate in sound quality technology. - **Compliance to Environment:** The perfect balance of sound quality and awareness of one's surrounding environment presented by JBL's headphones presents an opportunity for safety-tech innovation in high engagement scenarios. ### Where This Applies - **Audio Equipment:** The JBL Everest Elite headphones' integration with VR headsets presents an opportunity for audio equipment manufacturers to innovate and create highly immersive audio experiences. - **Virtual Reality:** The JBL Everest Elite headphones' compatibility with VR headsets creates an opportunity to bring audio and VR technology together in a more comprehensive way. - **Safety Technology:** The JBL Everest Elite headphones' ability to switch between audio and ambient sound presents an opportunity for manufacturers of high-engagement equipment to create a new safety-tech technology in various industries like manufacturing, construction, healthcare, etc. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Haute Head-Tracking Headphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jabra-elite-10.md) - [Augmented Reality Headphones Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/augmented-reality-headphones.md) - [Goggle-Shaped VR Headsets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/htc-2.md) - [Haptic Feedback Gaming Headphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/haptic-feedback-gaming-headphone.md) - [Helmet-Friendly Open Ear Headphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/detachable-open-ear-headphones.md) - [Rival Technology Headphone Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/samsung-level-smart-headphones.md) - [Chatbot-Compatible Headphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chatbot-smart-headphones.md) - [Haptic Wireless Gaming Headphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/haptic-headphones.md) - [Noise-Cancelling Gaming Headphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/noisecancelling-gaming-headphone.md)
