According to Archie Rose, the new premium expression actually arrives as a result of an accident at the distillery. Apparently, a bet had been wagered amongst the distilling team that no one would be able to make a [premium rum cask finished whiskey](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ardbeg-smoketrails-napa-valley-edition). Then, a few [High Test Molasses Rum casks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/single-estate-series) rolled into the distillery, which got the team experimenting. As a result, the new High Test Molasses Rum cask was born, which boasts a sophisticated flavor profile that perfectly balances molasses and malt while delivering tasting notes of rum, sticky date pudding, and raisin ice cream.
