The latest is an incredible photography set by Alan Sailer that was featured in the [Telegraph](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/telegraph-hotel-tbilisi) newspaper. Check out the above gallery for a sample of these breathtaking images of exploding strawberries, glass ornaments, paintballs, tomatoes, crayons, walnuts and grapes. So, what kind of setup was behind these amazing images? Alan used an air rifle, a [Nikon](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/miops-flex-bolt) D40 camera and a homemade one-microsecond flash unit that cost around $300. For context, a typical camera flash is one-thousandth of a second, compared to the one-millionth of a second of this special flash unit. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.8/10 - Popularity: 93% | Activity: 73% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Modern](https://www.trendhunter.com/modern) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **High-speed Photography:** Exploring high-speed photography techniques and equipment to capture unique images and moments. - **Innovative Flash Technology:** Developing and improving specialized, high-speed camera flash units to capture images of objects in motion with higher precision and clarity. - **Creative Visual Arts:** Pushing the boundaries of artistic expression through the use of high-speed photography and innovative techniques. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Photography:** Developing specialized camera equipment and techniques to meet the growing demands of high-speed photography in various industries. - **Advertising:** Creating visually stunning and attention-grabbing images for advertising and marketing campaigns through the use of high-speed photography techniques. - **Science and Research:** Utilizing high-speed photography to capture images of rapid physical phenomena for scientific research and experimentation. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Functional Gingerbread Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gingerbread-camera.md) - [Blurry Abstract Photography Exhibits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/optical-allusion.md) - [Festive Light Painting Techniques](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/light-painting-1.md) - [Multi-Lens Capture Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moon-walker-multi-cam.md) - [Shooting Target Wall Clocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clockwerk-target-clocks.md) - [Lightning-Capturing Camera Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/miops-flex-bolt.md) - [Stone Paper-Made Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paper-shoot.md) - [Hummingbird Camera Feeders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hum-bloom.md) - [Dramatic Doomsday Bunker Images](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/alastair-philip-wiper.md)
