# Hidden Kitchens Troy Adams Design's Concept Keeps Appliances Under Cover By Sandra Winn | Published 2009-06-03 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hidden-kitchens-troy-adams-designs-amazing-concept References: [trendir](http://www.trendir.com/archives/003526.html) The gallery shows Troy Adams Design’s amazing futuristic concept for a “kitchen within a kitchen.” Actually, you’d hardly know a kitchen even existed because it’s hidden. Think you’re seeing a simple pantry door? Think again. It’s actually a [sub-zero freezer and refrigerator](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/undercounter-collection) with a built-in wine cooler. How chillingly cool is that? I love how the [deep sink and range top](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kitchen-sink-system) are in the same place and how they are deeply embedded into the fixture. Underneath are [hidden appliances](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/integrated-kitchen-appliance), a microwave being one of them. Lastly, an artful media cabinet that opens and closes with ease. I can really see this futuristic kitchen concept taking off and becoming reality. It truly is eye pleasing. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.6/10 - Popularity: 94% | Activity: 96% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Hidden Kitchens:** Creating innovative kitchen designs that conceal appliances and blend seamlessly into the overall aesthetic. - **Futuristic Kitchen Concepts:** Developing kitchen designs that incorporate advanced technology and hidden features to enhance functionality and appearance. - **Integrated Appliances:** Integrating appliances into the overall design of kitchens to create a sleek and seamless look. ### Who This Affects Most - **Interior Design:** Opportunity for interior designers to create innovative kitchen designs that hide appliances and offer a seamless and aesthetic space. - **Kitchen Appliance Manufacturing:** Opportunity for appliance manufacturers to develop and produce hidden appliances that blend into kitchen designs. - **Custom Cabinetry:** Opportunity for custom cabinet makers to create specialized storage solutions that conceal appliances and optimize space. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Monochromatic Handle-Hiding Ovens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hide-oven.md) - [Freestanding Experimental Kitchens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/experimental-kitchens.md) - [Space-Conscious Kitchen Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/magnetic-kitchen-design.md) - [Compact Kitchen Ovens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bake-ultra.md) - [Ai-Powered Recipe-Generating Appliance](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-kitchen-cosmo.md) - [Telescoping Component Kitchen Appliances](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hybrid-kitchen-aid.md) - [Bespoke Multi-Section Refrigerators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arte-mini-refrigerator.md) - [Micro-Living Kitchen Appliance Hubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kitchen-appliance-hub.md) - [Concealed Kitchen Ventilation Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kitchen-ventilation1.md)
