'Hidden Dimension' is an [art and architecture project](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/a-week-at-the-knees) by Anna Yeroshenko, a Russian photographer based in Boston. The project uses a recursive photography technique to encourage viewers to reconsider what they might otherwise see as ugly, [utilitarian buildings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jean-verville).

Certain areas of Boston aren't exactly known for the most beautiful architecture. To change this conception, Yeroshenko's Hidden Dimension shows the buildings in a new light -- both literally and not.

To build the models in the project, Yeroshenko carefully photographs her desired buildings, making sure to eliminate any external context (such as streetlights, trees, or anything else.) She then carefully folds those pictures into [3D miniature models](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blockitecture-frank-lloyd-wright) of the buildings. Back at her studio, she re-photographs these models, carefully lighting them such that the studio lighting doesn't contradict the lighting in the photos. The result is a clean and unhindered look at these supposedly ugly buildings.
