# Steel-Frame Rockers J.Key Schneyorson's Hesus Rocking Horse is Both Old World and Modern By Meghan Young | Published 2012-05-12 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hesus-rocking-horse References: [design-milk](http://design-milk.com/a-rocking-horse-named-hesus/) & [jkeystudio](http://www.jkeystudio.com/?/similar-objects/HaSus-Steel-rocking-horse/) There is something both old world and minimalist about the Hesus Rocking Horse, although some may consider the two descriptors to be contradicting. The latter owes itself to the [basic steel tube frame](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stamping-chair) that makes up the [playful rocker](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ready-rocker-1) while the former is due to the golden finish and braided leather seating. Created by J.Key Schneyorson, a 29-year-old Israeli industrial designer based in Tel Aviv, the Hesus Rocking Horse is [beautifully abstract](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/immaterial-0001). It is intriguingly made up of four sectors of a circle, ranging in size to better represent specific features of the 'horse.' Perfect for any home, traditional or modern, the Hesus Rocking Horse will appeal to children of all ages--even grown ups that are still young at heart. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.3/10 - Popularity: 66% | Activity: 54% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Steel-frame Furniture:** The trend towards minimalist, modern furniture designs using steel tubing frames presents opportunities for innovative product designs. - **Abstract Design for Children's Products:** The trend towards abstract child-friendly designs creates opportunities for product designers to create unique and playful products for children. - **Braided Leather Accents:** The trend towards incorporating braided leather accents into furniture designs presents an opportunity to create high-end, luxury products. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Furniture Design:** Innovative furniture designers can use steel tubing frames to create minimalist, modern furniture products for the home. - **Children's Toys and Furniture:** Toy and furniture manufacturers can tap into the trend towards abstract, playful designs for children's products. - **Luxury Home Goods:** Designers and manufacturers can use braided leather accents to create high-end, luxury furniture and decor products. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Horse-Inspired Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-falabella-stool.md) - [Fabric-Wrapped Rocking Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zhe-rocking-chair.md) - [Geometric Rocking Chair Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oval-rocking-chair.md) - [Luxurious Minimal Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luxurious-minimal-chair.md) - [Contemporary Rocking Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/penguin-rocking-chair.md) - [Modernized Rocking Chair Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nodding-chair.md) - [Sustainable Metallic Furniture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stuttgart-chair-20.md) - [Kazakhstan-Informed Saddles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/horse-saddle-design.md) - [Slick Futuristic Chair Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/classical-norwegian-design.md)
