The Here After installation was created by the graphic designers Craig & Karl, who revamped a gas station to suit the [vivid, borderline psychedelic style](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/surreal-street-art-1) they have become known for.

The area in which the gas station is located is being redeveloped into a residential neighborhood, and so the designers chose to give the station a retro look inspired by the "retro test cards" that [BBC](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/physical-wearables-collection) (which was once located in the area) used to air between its shows. The resulting Here After installation reveals a once-used gas station in bright colors, with [neon signs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crafted-world-exhibition-1) and large arrows making up most of the design.

This gas station revamp works to create an artistic center in this newly developing neighborhood that references the area's historic past.
