# Solar-Powered Vaporizers The 'Sun Token' Herb Vaporizer Uses the Power of the Sun for Smoking By Michael Hemsworth | Published 2017-03-06 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/herb-vaporizer References: [dudeiwantthat](http://www.dudeiwantthat.com/gear/gadgets/sun-token-solar-vaporizer-hybrid.asp) & [suntoken](http://www.suntoken.com/) The 'Sun Token' [dry herb vaporizer](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/best-dry-herb-vaporizer) takes a different approach to smoking herbs that doesn't require an electronic heating system or lighter in order to be used. The 'Sun Token' makes use of [solar rays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/solar-pool-ionizer) in order to concentrate the power of the sun into a force that can be used to burn the herbs for smoking. The 'Sun Token' features a pipe that is covered by a dome to allow the rays to be filtered into without allowing the smoke that's created to escape until the smoker is ready. The herb vaporizer is used with a magnifying glass in order to concentrate the rays and burn the herb in the bowl. The 'Sun Token' is the design work of Hector Campos. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.6/10 - Popularity: 95% | Activity: 96% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Solar-powered Vaporizers:** The trend of solar-powered vaporizers is disrupting the smoking industry by offering a sustainable and eco-friendly alternative to traditional smoking methods. - **Solar Concentration Technology:** The trend of solar concentration technology opens up opportunities for innovative applications beyond vaporizers, such as solar-powered cooking devices or heat sources for outdoor activities. - **Sustainable Smoking Accessories:** The trend of sustainable smoking accessories highlights the demand for eco-conscious products in the smoking industry, encouraging the development of more environmentally-friendly options. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Herb Vaporizer Industry:** The herb vaporizer industry can leverage solar-powered technology to create disruptive innovations that enhance the user experience and reduce reliance on traditional energy sources. - **Renewable Energy Industry:** The renewable energy industry can explore the application of solar concentration technology in various products, expanding their market reach beyond traditional solar power generation. - **Sustainable Lifestyle Industry:** The sustainable lifestyle industry can incorporate solar-powered smoking accessories as part of their product offerings, catering to environmentally-conscious consumers seeking alternatives to conventional smoking methods. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Laser Technology Smoking Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/laser-technology-smoking-device.md) - [Breath-Activated Flameless Lighters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clean-torch.md) - [Herbal Tea Vaporizers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/air-tea-kettle.md) - [Retro-Futuristic Cannabis Vaporizers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cannabis-interesting-products-2022.md) - [Customizable Vaporizer Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/customizable-vaporizer.md) - [Precision-Focused Dry Herb Vaporizers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vong-x.md) - [Advanced Dry Herb Vaporizers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dry-herb-vaporizers.md) - [Adjustable First-of-Its-Kind Vaporizers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portable-vaporizers.md) - [Gravity-Infused Smoking Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stundenglass.md)
