# Constellation Light Fixtures This Heracleum Lighting is Inspired by the Plant of the Same Name By Meghan Young | Published 2011-04-19 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/heracleum-lighting References: [contemporist](http://www.contemporist.com/2011/04/18/heracleum-lighting-by-bertjan-pot-for-moooi/) & [bertjanpot.nl](http://www.bertjanpot.nl/) Aside from the fact that this Heracleum lighting has a very organic look thanks to its branching aesthetic, it is doubly beautiful because it reminds me of a compact constellation. Considering that each bulb shines like a star, it should come as no surprise that I make this comparison. Created by Dutch designer Bertjan Pot, this Heracleum lighting was designed for [Moooi](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nomnom-light). A [decorative LED pendent lamp](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nova-light), its organic feel is nevertheless tempered by a rather tech-like vibe. From its wiry frame to its [glass petals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bloom-wall-light), it is a modern take on a more natural look. Perfect for almost any living space, the Heracleum lighting fixture will surely add that touch of nature every household needs. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.8/10 - Popularity: 40% | Activity: 37% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Organic Lighting Design:** There is an opportunity for innovators to create lighting fixtures that mimic organic shapes and offer a natural aesthetic. - **Tech-inspired Lighting:** There is potential for disruption in the lighting industry by designing fixtures that combine modern technology with sleek and minimalist designs. - **Decorative LED Lighting:** There is a growing demand for decorative LED lighting fixtures that add both functionality and visual appeal to living spaces. ### Who This Affects Most - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can explore incorporating organic lighting fixtures into their projects to bring a touch of nature into living spaces. - **Lighting Design:** Lighting design companies can develop innovative lighting solutions that merge technology with organic aesthetics for a unique market offering. - **Home Decor:** Home decor retailers can capitalize on the trend of decorative LED lighting by offering a variety of stylish and functional fixtures to consumers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Otherworldly Lighting Fixture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/otherworldly-lighting-fixture.md) - [Demure Dual-Function Hanging Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/light-fixture-planter.md) - [Tree Branch-Formed Lighting Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/celestial-attraction.md) - [Plant Pod-Inspired Pendant Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nature-inspired-pendant-light.md) - [Plant-Supporting Pendant Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/led-growlight.md) - [Horizontal Glass Sphere Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/comet-pendant.md) - [Blooming Light Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bloome.md) - [Astro-Inspired Sculptural Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/elara-suspension.md) - [Astronomical Concept-Inspired Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/copernica.md)
