Last year, the Henn na Hotel, in Sasebo, Japan made headlines as the first of its kind as a hotel that's run completely by artificial robots. As of 2017, the "Strange Hotel," as it it named in Japanese, will be expanding with a new location in the [Tokyo Disney Resort](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/seven-seasons-program).

At the 100-room hotel, guests will be automatically assigned a room by a multi-lingual robot, which helps to keep down the number of human staff who are required behind the scenes. As well as being an attraction themselves, the [robot staff](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aipowered-humanoid-robot) at Henn na Hotel actually play a part in keeping the costs of labor low.

After being checked in, guests will have their bags carried to their room by a porter robot and once entered into the [facial recognition system](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jurny), guests no longer have to worry about carrying a secure room card for entry.
