Luxury furniture rarely comes in easy-to-assemble pieces but the sofa and conference table, both of which will be shown at 2018 Milan Design Week, can easily be built by hand and offer up incredibly quality and durability. The Hem furniture sofa, called [Kumo](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kumo-humidifier), is available with up to four seats and arrives in a series of constructed pieces. The sofa can simply be fixed together using a key and was designed by Norwegian studio [Anderssen & Voll](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flatpack-sofa1). The long conference table features the same easy-to-construct design, and despite its size, can be packed flat and assembled by hand. Both easy-to-assemble pieces epitomize the ethos of Hem furniture, as the brand constantly strives for quality design that is affordable to the masses. The Hem furniture sofa and conference table are part of a greater collection of five pieces, all of which feature design elements that lend to easy delivery and construction. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.9/10 - Popularity: 100% | Activity: 99% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Flat-packed Luxury Furniture:** Hem Furniture's new collection demonstrates the trend towards high-end, easily assembled furniture that offers incredible quality. - **Affordable Luxury Furniture:** By prioritizing accessibility through packaging, design, and affordabilty, Hem Furniture is leading the trend towards accessible luxury furniture. - **Innovative Furniture Packaging:** Hem Furniture's packaging techniques offer a glimpse into the trend of retail packaging innovation in the furniture industry. ### Who This Affects Most - **Furniture Manufacturing:** By innovating in packaging and design, furniture manufacturers like Hem Furniture have the opportunity to create new niches and markets in the industry. - **E-commerce:** As more consumers look online for furniture purchases, companies that prioritize affordable, high-quality, easily-constructed pieces, such as Hem Furniture, can capitalize on the growing demand for these products. - **Logistics and Shipping:** As the furniture industry moves towards more innovative packaging, companies that specialize in logistics and shipping have the opportunity to create disruptive solutions for easy and cost-effective delivery of furniture purchases. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Durable Flat-Packed Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eilersen.md) - [Repairable Flat-Pack Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flatpack-sofa1.md) - [Stackable Flat-Pack Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bug-collection-1.md) - [Adaptive Furniture Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/expand-furniture.md) - [Sustainable Flat-Packable Hotel Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fritz-hansen-1.md) - [Sleek Modern Furniture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nycxdesign.md) - [Simplistic Fastening Furniture Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/easystory.md) - [Multifunctional Sleek Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flex-furniture.md) - [High-Quality Flatpack Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pagoda-chair.md)
