# Layered Aluminum Pendants The Heirloom Pendant Light by Buoyant Features Stacked Spun-Metal Shades By Amy Duong | Published 2026-05-12 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/heirloom-pendant References: [buoyantnyc](https://buoyantnyc.com/portfolio_page/heirloom-sling/) The Heirloom pendant light by Buoyant is a [suspended lighting fixture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nova-light) composed of layered spun-aluminum shades arranged around a central light source. The pendant features stacked circular forms with softly curved edges that direct illumination downward while partially exposing the bulb through the open layered structure. Brushed metal finishes and a symmetrical silhouette define the fixture, with the overlapping aluminum elements creating depth and shadow throughout the design. The pendant is available in multiple finishes and suspension lengths within Buoyant’s lighting collection. Its [spun-aluminum construction](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nest-lamp) creates changing reflections and shadow patterns depending on viewing angle and light intensity. The fixture uses a [suspended cable mounting system](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/solace-chain) with a rounded ceiling canopy positioned above the layered shade assembly. The Heirloom pendant combines exposed metal surfaces, concentric forms, and diffused lighting within a compact vertically suspended structure intended for residential and hospitality interiors.
