This [dragon sculpture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/how-to-train-your-dragon-x-lush) was made by John Brooker out of a 100-foot long hedge he had on his property. For some, ten years can seem like an eternity, but for John Brooker it seems to have been the work term for his latest project. This hedge didn't only take ten years to complete, but is extremely detailed and well-crafted. The hedge looks beautiful, with rounded edges and a [detailed head](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/split-bust), making it one of the more meticulous creations one has made out of a hedge they found on their property. Brooker worked for a few hours every single day for the ten year period to get the dragon to where it is. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.0/10 - Popularity: 40% | Activity: 13% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Long-term Passion Projects:** The trend of individuals dedicating a significant amount of time and effort to create intricate and unique sculptures or art pieces. - **Creative Use of Natural Materials:** The trend of utilizing natural elements, such as hedges or trees, as mediums for sculptural creations. - **Meticulous Detailing in Sculptures:** The trend of creating sculptures with meticulous attention to detail, resulting in visually stunning and intricate artworks. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Art and Sculpture:** Disruptive innovation opportunities in the art and sculpture industry lie in exploring new mediums and techniques to create unique and attention-grabbing artworks. - **Landscaping and Gardening:** The landscaping and gardening industry can benefit from incorporating artistic and sculptural elements into outdoor spaces, creating visually engaging and immersive environments for clients. - **Outdoor Events and Attractions:** In the outdoor events and attractions industry, there is potential for incorporating large-scale, intricately designed sculptures to enhance the visual experience and create memorable environments. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Folk Creature Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fibredog.md) - [Mythical Creature Humidifiers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/green-dragon-cast-iron-wood-stove-steamer.md) - [Dragon-Inspired Timepiece Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/year-of-the-dragoninspired.md) - [Living Landscape Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hedge-and-arbour-house.md) - [Distinctive Dragon-Themed Books](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/distinctive-dragonthemed-books-dragonborn-features-illustrative-end-pages-a.md) - [Dragon-Themed Drone Light Shows](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/legend-of-the-dragon-gate.md) - [Outdoor Floral Sculpture Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sculptures-at-kew-gardens.md) - [Mixed Material Home Decor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/resin-dragon-egg-ornament.md) - [Dragon-Inspired Personal Care Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/year-of-the-dragoninspired1.md)
