The [California Fuel Cell Partnership](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/uber-and-hertz) sees this as a step towards achieving California's 100% zero-emission truck goal by 2045. Heavy-duty trucks make up only 2% of traffic in California however account for 9% of greenhouse gas emissions. For this reason, developing an initiative that specifically targets heavy-duty trucks is paramount in reducing the state's CO2 emissions.
