# Eclectic Steel Abodes The Heavy Metal House by Hufft Projects Uses Various Metal Materials By Jamie Danielle Munro | Published 2014-04-15 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/heavy-metal-house References: [designboom](http://www.designboom.com/architecture/hufft-projects-builds-a-heavy-metal-house-in-missouri-4-13-2014/) & [hufft](http://hufft.com/) The Heavy Metal House by Hufft Projects takes the owners passion for steel and transforms his vision into a fully functional abode. The owner had his own steel manufacturing plant, so he wanted to explore the various functions this material could have when building a home. Because of this, the house is fixed with a number of different types of steel, all of which look amazing. Perforated metal screening is prominent around most of the house, and its slightly rusted look adds to the overall industrial feel of the place. The owners artwork is also on full display inside, giving the interior a slight gallery-like feel. Even the bathroom has various steel materials for the walls and floor, turning a regular showering station into a rugged and manly interior design.
