# Mood Furniture 2 Heat Seat By Ayman | Published 2008-05-20 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/heat-seat References: [arabaquarius.blogspot](http://arabaquarius.blogspot.com/2008/05/heat-seat.html) I would love to try this [unique seat](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/himalaya-pelvis-chair) that shows just how hot you are! The **Heat Seat** by designer *Jurgen Mayer H* is made of wood, rubber, and a layer of [thermo-sensitive paint that changes its color](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/colorchanging-paint-1) based on the heat signature. It works in the same way your childhood [mood ring](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lumen-chair) did. Now if the same technology is applied into a bed design, imagine the artistic drawing a love making session would leave! ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.8/10 - Popularity: 28% | Activity: 18% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Thermo-sensitive Furniture:** Opportunity for incorporating thermo-sensitive paint technology to create furniture that changes color based on heat signature. - **Interactive Furniture:** The use of thermo-sensitive paint can be extended to other pieces of furniture, allowing for interactive and visually dynamic designs. - **Personalized Furniture:** The ability of furniture to react to an individual's heat signature opens up opportunities for personalized and unique furniture experiences. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Furniture manufacturers can explore the integration of thermo-sensitive paint technology into their product offerings. - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can harness the potential of thermo-sensitive paint to create visually captivating and interactive spaces. - **Art and Design:** Artists and designers can incorporate thermo-sensitive paint into their creations to bring an element of surprise and interactivity to their work. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Solar-Powered Heated Seats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gosun-solar-seat.md) - [Modern Therapeutic Seating Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/reflect-1.md) - [Temperature-Sensitive Gaming Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/project-arielle.md) - [Kinetic Bloom Seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blooming-furniture.md) - [Dating App-Collaborative Bed Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/multipurpose-bed.md) - [Suspenseful Statement Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/edgeofyr.md) - [Dynamic Furniture Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moon-series.md) - [Colour Shift Clear Seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/color-roller.md) - [Mindful Wooden Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tanuvi-hegde.md)
