The ThermaHelm is a head cooling helmet that mixes water and ammonium nitrate inside the [carbon-fiber topper](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/canyon-deflectr-rls-helmet) in the event of an accident. When the two lightweight chemical packs combine, a cooling reaction is triggered that could save lives in the crucial moments between impact and rescue.

A British man by the name of Jullian Preston-Powers designed the head cooling helmet after he was handed an ice-pack for a basketball injury. At $490, the ThermaHelm isn’t cheap and Preston-Powers is in the midst of designing an even more luxurious head cooling helmet that will include GPS, a [video camera](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/yashica-x-im-back-virtusx1) and Bluetooth and will retail for $815.
