The [contemporary pop art graphics](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/siembra-capsule) of Richard Woods have been combined with the talent of Sebastian Wrong to produce a [collection of ottomans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/palma-pouf) inspired by the farm, but fit for the family room. Erratic patterns of white and yellow stalks outlined in black make up the busy straw pattern on the fabric, which is then bound by black straps as if the bunched bale would come apart. Established & Sons have taken care of the manufacturing of these [soft stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clover-collective-modular) to ensure that they're light and portable, and their covers can be removed easily for convenient cleaning. Incorporating Hay Bales seating into a room is a clean and contemporary way to bring the barn into your bold interior design scheme. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.5/10 - Popularity: 24% | Activity: 14% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Farmhouse Chic:** There's an opportunity to create functional yet stylish furnishings that incorporate elements of rural and farmland aesthetics into modern interiors. - **Upcycling:** Using reclaimed materials and transforming them into new items can create unique and eco-friendly furniture pieces. - **Rethinking Traditional Materials:** Innovative use of traditional materials can lead to new and creative furniture designs. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Furniture:** New designs and materials can be used to create furniture pieces that appeal to a wider audience. - **Agriculture:** There may be an opportunity for farmers to repurpose their products into non-traditional items such as furnishings and decor. - **Retail:** Retailers can offer unique and innovative products that cater to the growing demand for sustainable and stylish furnishings. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Multifaceted Geometric Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stackable-stools.md) - [Rice Husk-Made Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rice-husk-stool.md) - [Sculptural Geometric Seating Poufs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bao-collection.md) - [Curvacious Oak Seating Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oak-seating.md) - [Ultra-Elegant Designer Outdoor Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/designer-outdoor-furniture.md) - [Unconventional Playful Seating Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bau-1.md) - [Smart Bulbous Seating Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/buffo.md) - [Sustainable Paper-Infused Benches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/detalji-bench.md) - [Leather Strap Benches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stacked-bench.md)
